Recep Demiray was born in 1992 in Diyarbakır, Türkiye. He discovered his passion for fashion at an early age and successfully transformed it into a professional career. His fashion journey began with his education at the Vocational High School, Department of Clothing Production Technology in Diyarbakır, and continued with his graduation from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Fashion Design Department at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, further strengthening his academic foundation. Additionally, he expanded his vision of the fashion world by studying Brand Management and Public Relations at Anadolu University.
After completing his university education, he held his first fashion show, where he blended puşi fabrics—traditional handwoven textiles from his hometown—with modern design lines. This collection received significant acclaim. Following this success, on August 29, 2015, he staged a major fashion show at the Bosphorus Palace Hotel in Beylerbeyi, Istanbul, marking a major turning point in his career and establishing his name in the fashion industry.
He founded his first showroom and atelier in Diyarbakır to showcase his designs. Seeking to gain broader experience and develop his skills, Demiray later moved to Istanbul, where he pursued further education at various fashion institutions. There, he strengthened his professional expertise and established a prestigious showroom and design studio that represents his brand at international standards, solidifying his place in the fashion world.
Demiray quickly developed a distinctive identity in the fashion industry by combining the cultural heritage of his birthplace and the unique motifs of Anatolia with a modern design perspective.
Gaining recognition on the international stage as well, Recep Demiray made a strong entry into the global fashion scene by showcasing his collection at Milan Fashion Week in 2023. He subsequently participated in London Fashion Weekfor two consecutive seasons in 2024 and 2025, where his designs—drawing inspiration from the historical textures of Anatolia—received high praise from the international fashion community. These accomplishments have demonstrated that his rising success extends beyond Türkiye to the global arena.
Through his perseverance, vision, and passion, Demiray has turned every step of his journey into a success story. Today, he continues his career with confident strides, having established a strong voice in the universal language of fashion.
In 2025, he is preparing to meet fashion enthusiasts at Antalya Fashion Week with his new collection, “Ahde Vefa,”inspired by the cultural richness of his homeland.
