Born on November 22, 1988 in Izmir, Gökhan graduated from DEU GSF Textile and Fashion Design Department in 2012. Then, he completed “Leather Clothing, Shoes and Accessories Design” in 2013 also “Fashion Design and Management” master class in 2015 at İMA. He did his internships at UNITEKS, MUDO-FTS 64, SÖKTAŞ companies, which are seen as the first step in the sector, and worked as a designer in companies such as Tornado Deri, Damat & Tween.
Gökhan, who has won degrees in many competitions so far, describes the turning point of his career as the Runner-Up Prize in the 24th Koza Young Fashion Designers Competition in 2016. He took his place in the ready-to-wear sector in August 2017, aiming to bring a fresh breath to street wear with the brand named GOKHANYAVAS. As the first step of the brand, “TheCoreIstanbul”, which took place in 2017, he met with the buyers and brought the brand to life.
On March 27, 2018, held his first fashion show as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, and since then he has presented his collections in domestic and foreign fashion organizations. At the same time, he undertook the art consultancy of UĞURTEKS and the design consultancy of TÜTÜNCÜLER TEKSTİL and still carries out the creative consultancy of the GIOTELLI brand.
